Lee Man
Of course, there will always be men out there who refuse to trade in their dress shirts and silk ties for floral tops and cargo pants. If you’re one of these dapper fellas, you’ll want to investigate Chicago’s own Lee Allison Company. A former investment banker and advertising wiz, Allison found his true calling in ties. The company designs fabrics that are woven in Europe in some of the best silk mills in the world, and then shipped back to the United States to be cut and hand-sewn into some of the most fetching ties around. A couple of our favorites are the ‘Tour de Lance’, featuring abstract bike riders, and the ‘Tiki Bar’, adorned with fog cutters, Singapore Slings and other festive libations. There are dozens of other great designs that are capable of turning the most tie-averse man into a dandy. Lee Allison ties are available at Barneys New York and at www.leeallison.com.
